Okay, so my last posts were back when I lived in a different province, had a 12 year old dog and no children. Now I live in a different province, our dog passed away and I have a 9.5 month old boy.
I am still overweight. For the longest time after I gave birth I stayed at around my pre-pregnancy weight. And that wasn't a good weight to start with. Now I have gained 10 lbs. It has been really hard to get into a routine, since the baby likes to change up his routine every few weeks. Also, we had a puppy for a while because my fiance decided we couldn't live without a dog, so I was at home with a 3 month puppy and a 6 month baby, which led to a lot of stress, and not much exercise/eating right. My allergies were really bad with the new dog, so I was taking Benadryl, which seemed to eb the only thing to stop the hives. And if anyone out there has taken benadryl, you know it wreaks havoc on you if you take it more than once in a while. So I was kind of a mess for 3 months.
So now we have been puppy free for 2 weeks now (she went to a good home), and the baby sleeps through the night still (except for last week when he was teething), so I have no excuse for not exercising.
I figure I am so out of shape and so stuck in bad habits that I better just focus on one aspect at a time so I don't fall off the wagon, so I am going to start with exercising, and once I have been doing that for 3 weeks I will focus more on eating right.
So tonight I am going to start back on the elliptical in the basement, and hope I have no more excuses to keep me from doing it. And being sleepy can no longer be an excuse.
