Hippy Hippy Shake

So I just realized I forgot to mention a major part of my life. My hips. My hips have bugged me since I was a teenager, I was very active playing soccer and walking everywhere, but my hips hurt. Luckily (?) I stopped being active and my hip pain went away, until a few years ago when I decided being a lump wasn't the best idea. I started running and walking etc, but my hips started hurting again.

fast forward to my pregnancy. My hips went out of place. I couldn't go to a chiropractor because no one was open the hours I was available to go. So when I was finally able to go to a chiropractor after I gave birth to E, the doctor said my hips were really bad and it would take a while to get them back to normal. So E is 10 months old, and my hips still go out of place all the time.

Since I have been going for so many walks lately, my cardio has improved, but last night I could barely make it up the stairs into bed. The chiropractor says to ice my hips after every walk. But the two problems I have encountered with that are:
1. Have you ever TRIED to ice your hips? It's not easy.
2. Have you tried doing it while watching an active baby?

So I have to acknowledge that this could very well be a HUGE stumbling block in my effort to get in shape and lose weight. I can't afford to go swimming, so I have to keep doing what I am doing. And since apparently walking is even a problem, i am hoping the chiropractor can fix my hips quickly. It will help once I am working and can afford to go more than once a week. But then I won't have time to go :(
