Basic Physics Principal

"An object in motion stays in motion, an object at rest stays at rest". I learned this in Physics almost 2 decades ago. Why can I not put it into practical perspective? If I stay on the couch I will never get fit.

I was feeling groggy this morning, and my old ways of thought were telling me to rest on the couch and wait until I got energetic. My "new" way of thinking got me to just get up, get my toddler ready and go for a walk. I went for a nice 20 minute walk. I would have gone for longer, but my son had different ideas. I am not going to regret only a 20 minute walk, because it got me outside, got my heart rate up (if only for a short while) and the best part is that I got one more shot in for my "new" way of thinking.

My cold is dying off, and I am ready and eager to start getting back into my exercise routine. Tonight once my son is asleep I will get on the elliptical and not look back. No more excuses.
